touch-screen system at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Phelps Memorial Hospital Center is the first
health care facility in the area to offer this state-of-the-art system, which helps make the patient and family more comfortable,
while increasing the efficiency of the medical staff.
Hospital rooms have 17-inch flat, touch-screen TVs on which patients can select from a number of menu choices including more
than 100 educational videos for both English and Spanish-speaking patients and 20 first-run movies, which are also available in
English and Spanish at any time without any additional cost. Patients can enjoy 20 DirectTV satellite channels and have access
to the Internet and email, connecting them to life outside the hospital. Vigo OneTouch benefits nurses and doctors as well by
enabling them to view and record clinical data at the bedside.
